An Evening with Graham Kendrick
If you are a flute player and would like to keep up regular lessons with a flute tutor via Skype, whether you are beginner or Diploma standard, then you have come to the right place! You can still continue with your lessons during the period of lockdown and beyond using Skype or Zoom with me, David Fitzgerald.
I am presently a Saxophone, Woodwind and Flute tutor via Skype and Zoom (from beginner to Diploma standard), I offer both instrumental tuition and Music Theory from beginner to Grade 8 standard.
As a successful performer, composer and teacher of Woodwind, Saxophones and Flutes my career in music spans the 70`s through to the present, moving through a varied musical journey which has involved many different worlds of music, from military bands through to progressive rock, Christian bands, chart music and sessions, and recording and touring with Christian artists. I founded the musical project IONA after research into the Celtic origins of Christian faith in Lindisfarne and Iona. You can find out more about this here.
I have continued my musical career, writing and producing a range of albums in recent years and it has been a pleasure and a privilege to perform on BBCTV`s Songs of Praise on a number of occasions.
Currently, I am settled in Norwich, Norfolk, at the Norwich School as a teacher, and leader of music projects such as Saxology, plus adjudication at musical events such as the Eisteddfodd. This yearly celebration of International Music, Song and Dance happens in July within the beautiful landscape of Llangollen, North Wales. My lessons promote and follow the Syllabus for Woodwind & Piano examinations (Classical & Jazz Syllabus). This is produced by the world`s most prestigious exam board, the ABRSM (Associated Board Of The Royal Schools Of Music) and also Trinity College London.
As a registered full member of the ISM (Incorporated Society Of Musicians) and the Musician`s Union and a tutor of many young pupils in the region, I am fully registered with the DBS (Update Service) for your peace of mind and also via the Schools in the areas I work.
Many of my students of saxophones, woodwind and flutes have been continuing remote lessons from the comfort of their own home, using Zoom or Skype and this has proved successful and convenient for them. All you need to do, is set up a quiet corner of your home where you will be undisturbed for the 30 minutes the lesson will take, with your instrument and music at hand, and your laptop or phone positioned so that we can talk and see each other, then you will be ready to log in and contact me at the start of the lesson.
As a private teacher of the Flute, Woodwind, and Saxophones, I am happy to continue the lessons with my pupils via Skype and Zoom.
As a registered full member of the ISM (Incorporated Society Of Musicians) and the Musician`s Union and a tutor of many young pupils in the region, for your peace of mind I am also fully registered with the DBS (Update Service) and also via the Schools in the area where I teach.
So there is no need to give up on your music practice and preparation for examinations. Meeting regularly with me as your virtual flute Tutor via Skype, let us forge ahead within the wonderful world of music.
