If you love the sound of the flute and wish to play this most sweet sounding and romantic of instruments then get off to a good start by finding a Flute Teacher Norwich area to help you along the way.  David Fitzgerald offers a lifetime of experience combined with friendly and relaxed lessons in and around Norwich School, Norfolk and Suffolk.  David is happy to talk to new students interested in the flute, to play either for personal pleasure or with a view to furthering their musical career.

A flute lesson is usually of 30 minutes in duration during term time, and pupils are invited to record the lesson for furthering their own study at home.  Many of these recordings become a fascinating memento of their musical journey in the flute.  Some occasional lessons are also held during the school holidays by arrangement.

As well as teaching the flute and other instruments, David offers tuition in Music Theory in preparation for ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) examinations. David can help students to prepare for both Classical & Jazz ABRSM examinations.  David considers it a pleasure and a privilege to pass on his musical knowledge and skills to students now, in his capacity as a flute teacher in Norwich after a lifetime of professional musicianship.  He constantly finds creative ways to challenge and stretch them to a higher performance level.  As a result, many of David`s students go on to enjoy successful careers in music, either as professional performers or teachers of the flute, or playing for their own amusement, for family and friends.

Music opens many doors in life and the flute can be enjoyed as a solo instrument but also as part of a band, or ensemble.  As such the flute is a versatile instrument which is suited to Classical or Jazz but has also made an appearance in pop music, popular Irish music and especially music for relaxation.

Details of David`s own performances and recordings with the flutes and woodwind and saxophones are available here.  He has performed and written with many famous Christian artists and bands and recorded with many choirs and artists for the BBC`s Songs of Praise.
